South Dakota Adds Three New Full-Time Positions
VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota has announced that it has added three new full-time positions to the athletic department staff. Chris Kassin (men’s basketball), Ryan Larsen (women’s basketball) and David Frazier (strength and conditioning) have all been hired as full-time USD staff members.

USD Women’s Basketball Posts Highest GPA in NCAA Division II
VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today that The University of South Dakota women’s basketball team had the highest team grade point average for the 2007-08 season in NCAA Division II. The Coyotes 3.649 GPA was the fifth-highest GPA of all institutions in NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA and Community/Junior Colleges.

VERMILLION, S.D. -- Ryun Williams, head coach of The University of South Dakota women’s basketball team, has announced that Jackie Hiebert will transfer from Ohio University to USD. Hiebert, who will have three seasons of eligibility remaining, played in 29 games for the Bobcats her freshman season.

Ryun Williams Named the 10th Women’s Basketball Head Coach at USD
VERMILLION, S.D. -- Ryun Williams, the winningest women’s basketball coach in Wayne State (Neb.) history and former Coyote men’s basketball player, has been named the 10th head women’s basketball coach in the history of The University of South Dakota. Director of Athletics Joel Nielsen announced the hiring of Williams, who will replace the retiring Chad Lavin, this afternoon.
